Three, four (or more) makes a trend

So I haven’t written too much about fashion week, mostly because most has been total shitsville. Mme. Roitfeld didn’t even make the trip.
But among the schizophrenic shows I definitely spotted some must-haves. Here’s my near-obsessive shopping list:

Trenton Makes, the World Takes

I spent yesterday evening speeding through New Jersey in a germ-infested commuter train, sandwiched between two men sneezing their brains out, hacking up their lungs, hacking up bacteria, phlegm, viruses and snot. Booming, atomic coughs and not one covered their mouth. The people of New Jersey are filthy.

For the Love of God

So they turned on the atom-smasher (which, by the way, sounds so much more badass than “Large Hadron Collider,” especially since my mind always reads Hadron as Hardon) and no blackholes — yet. Although, the more I think about it the more I keep coming back to an even cooler disaster scenario. Hang on for [...]

For a little background info, a bum wine definition courtesy of Cinema [...]

See You in the Eleventh Dimension

Something is rotten in Switzerland. Tomorrow, the folks at CERN fire up the Large Hadron Collider. The 2,000 scientists involved are trying to study conditions just like those in the milliseconds after the Big Bang. They could find signs of an 11th dimension (in case you lost count that’s our four plus seven more that [...]

Shout Out: Influences

Couldn’t help but notice some “inspired-bys.”
Proenza Schouler <3s Alice Dellal?

I’ve got a case of Egyptomania

…after seeing the Vena Cava presentation.

Gotta say, this song is so good it’s driving me crazy:

Fashion week is well under way, and I’m still waiting to be impressed. Fingers crossed!
