Q. What do shoes and sandwiches have in common?
A lot, it seems, and not just the fact that I’m a big fan of both. Since Polaroids went the way of the dodo, I’ve been seeing a lot of photographers turn to scanners as the latest trend in lo-fi photography. Kinda reminds me of when my family got ours in the ’90s and my friends and I spent days scanning our faces. Wonder how long it’ll take to see that flashback on the pages of Dazed?
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about Scanwiches for a sec. LOVE. THIS. SITE. It’s crazy how architectural half a sanwhich can look. Who knew? But most of all, I love this site for repping the Crosby Connection. I cannot overestimate my love for the Connect, which dates back to their Crosby St. digs. I’ve been a fan of this roving sandwhicherie since bonding with the owners over a shared love of Halloween. (I was already planning on going as Jimmy Page, they were going as Madonna and David Banda). Love it. See you at the Connection!
